Senior Statistician / Quantitative Design Researcher

I need someone who has deep statistical knowledge AND the ability to write scripting, especially in SPSS syntax. Experience with C# or C++ is a plus. Candidate must have experience with and ability to gather web metrics and other related data to identify problems with products, work with UX Designers to use the data to guide redesign, then verify that the improvements resolved the previously identified problems.
In addition, the Sr. Statistician MUST have experience with the following:
· Perform Multi-variant and univariate analyses using SPSS
· Familiarity with Bayesian analysis
· Write/review Complex code in SPSS (syntax is required).
· Write macros or reusable syntax in SPSS
· Explain difference between inferential and descriptive.
· Understand when to use a T-Test and when to use an ANOVA
· Designed: experience writing C or other compiled programming language
· Behavioral science experience developing and validating questionnaires or scales
Job description:
The main focus of this position will be to design experiments, conduct statistical analysis, and prepare reports on results for experiment and general metrics data analysis. The work products will contribute to data-based decisions on software design and business requirements implementation. Deliverables Work with the project teams to identify questions and research designs to address them. Conduct power analyses and prepare planning documents for experiments and ongoing metrics analyses. Regularly review colleagues' analysis code, methods and results. Ensure that all produced analysis code, methods, and results are reviewed by peers. Capture, transform, and clean large data sets, verifying their integrity. Carefully document each step in data capture and analysis. Conduct univariate and multivariate statistical analyses. Interpret results of analyses and prepare high-impact reports. Produce a library of syntax and utilities that can be reused on subsequent analyses. Contribute to metrics analysis best practices and procedures.
