    Technical UI Artist

    We are looking for a Technical UI Artist to work on an exciting new experience in the gaming industry. As a Technical UI Artist, you will be key to the authoring and integration of the user interface for one of the most exciting and creative intellectual properties in the industry. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in console-based video game UI, with deep knowledge and understanding of UI implementation tools, design and UI/interaction design. You have worked extensively with in-house or 3rd party UI authoring tools and are familiar with a wide variety of art creation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash. Teamwork, innovation, attention to detail and unbridled passion are characteristics we look for in all of our artists.  The ability to work well both independently and in a team environment is a must.

    Responsibilities:

    • Master the use of game engine tools to integrate UI assets into the game
    • Work closely with the UI Artists, Designers and Developers to bring design mockups through the pipeline and into the game
    • Work closely with Design, Production, User Research, and Dev to find the best solutions to UI challenges
    • Find creative solutions to both technical and artistic challenges

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in games
    • Deep understanding of user interfaces for console platforms
    • Understanding of fundamental design principles (typography, layout, grid systems, hierarchy, color, composition), and motion graphics
    • Knowledge of Adobe CS5 products (including Flash)
    • Strong cross-functional communications skills - interacts effectively within a team environment and works collaboratively
    • Passion for and knowledge of games - You play the latest and the greatest, and can articulate what qualities make a great title
    • Extreme attention to detail - You believe that one pixel off is NOT “close enough”
    • Exceptional organizational skills - You don’t allow things to fall through the cracks

    Your Role:

    As a Usability Researcher and Community Manager in FUSE Labs, your primary role is to advocate for the users of our various social media, mobile, and community projects across phases of the development cycle -- from the moment of project inception, through early stage prototyping and iteration, to large scale deployment and community development.  You must be passionate about social media, proficient in user research methodologies, and socially intelligent in managing relationships with communities of users.  In addition, you must be self-motivated in ambiguous situations and able to wear multiple hats as needed to get the job done.
     
    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform usability lab studies and focus groups, and report results to product teams
    • Review and report usage trends using web analytics tools

    • Blog about new releases, features, events, promotions, and other matters of importance to users

    Qualifications:

    • Domain expertise and experience with social media and online community products and services

    The UX Researcher will test the programming suite interfaces for parallel programming tools.

    • We are developing programming tools for parallel programming that have a significant amount of new user interface components. We need a Usability Researcher to come in to help us review and perform usability testing of the visual and interaction design of these tools for 4-6 weeks.

    • UX Researcher will perform heuristic evaluations of tools, forms, interaction flows, and visualizations for parallel debugging and parallel application performance profiling. The Researcher will also be responsible for conducting lab studies of the parallel tools.

    • Strong usability lab skills required

    • Knowledge of the Visual Studio design language is desirable

    • Ability to communicate design ideas effectively and the ability to generate and drive design ideas.

    • A MS in Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, Human Computer Interaction or equivalent 3 to 5 years industry experience required

    The Research team is a multidisciplinary team with the charter of designing awesome end-to-end experiences that are effortless, intuitive, and delightful. We are looking for a User Experience Researcher with strong research and communication skills who is interested in working on entertainment experiences on the team's products.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of industry experience conducting user research and effectively arguing for tangible improvements to the user experience based on the research results

    • Experience using standard user research techniques at various stages of the development process (e.g., lab usability studies, heuristic evaluations, surveys)

    • Ability to work independently (with supervision and guidance) to create and moderate user studies to acquire data from consumers.

    • Demonstrated ability to analyze research data, create results presentations, and deliver them to product teams. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must.

    • Intermediate statistical analysis skills, and ideally familiarity with one or more statistical packages used for analysis (SPSS, Statistica, etc). Strong skills using Excel to perform basic analyses are acceptable.

    • Skills and interest in finding creative ways to present and visualize rich research data are plusses.

    • Interest in working on entertainment experiences and consumer-facing products and services is desirable. Background playing games is a big plus.

    User Experience Designer

    We understand that if you focus on the user, other things have a tendency to fall into place. We’re interested in finding out about how our users interact with our service, whether it’s on a mobile device, on the web, or in-person. Break free from the typical paradigm of designing user experiences for someone sitting at a desk, and put yourself in the mind of a 20-year old concertgoer.     I need someone who has deep statistical knowledge AND the ability to write scripting, especially in SPSS syntax.  Experience with C# or C++ is a plus.  Candidate must have experience with and ability to gather web metrics and other related data to identify problems with products, work with UX Designers to use the data to guide redesign, then verify that the improvements resolved the previously identified problems.

    In addition, the Sr. Statistician MUST have experience with the following:

     

    ·         Perform Multi-variant and univariate analyses using SPSS

    ·         Familiarity with Bayesian analysis

    ·         Write/review Complex code in SPSS (syntax is required).

    ·         Write macros or reusable syntax in SPSS

    ·         Explain difference between inferential and descriptive.

    ·         Understand when to use a T-Test and when to use an ANOVA

    ·         Designed: experience writing C or other compiled programming language

    ·         Behavioral science experience developing and validating questionnaires or scales

    Aerotek CE is on a quest to identify a Usability Test professional with extensive Microsoft PowerPoint and medical device development experience to step in and assist with the development of a new navigation and usability experience project for future products.     Seeking a mid-level information architect with experience creating wireframes for complex, high density interfaces. Primary design parameters are completed, this position will be taking use cases and workflows and translating those into workflow oriented wireframes at the direction and guidance of a Sr. IA.

    The ideal candidate will be able to receive direction and guidance on tasks and objectives, and then produce quality work at a high rate of completion.
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Information Architecture
    • Experience in designing internal tools a plus
    • Previous experience in travel industry or call centers a plus
    • Excellent communication and relationship skills to work in a matrix organization
    • Good technical understanding of GUI design and development
